Less But Better Long Parka Forest Camo SS2010 - 2
In 2010 it was the first time Jun Takahashi presented his men’s collection as a runway show. The show named « Less but Better » was held in Florence, as part of the Pitti Immagine Uomo 94.
The collection is inspired by the work of Dieter Rams, the German industrial designer whose rationalist vision of design is clearly represented by the phrase « Less, but Better ». The collection was functional, technical, sportive but yet quite simple. All details remind of Rams Braun’s line of products, with the leather details, perforated patches, and the gray/khaki palette.
Jun Takahashi also incorporated outdoor fabrics in this collection(gore-tex materials, taped seam, 3M details, etc) to match the utilitarian side of Rams's ideology.
The Forest/Water camo pieces are the most sought-after pieces of the collection because of their visual impact and long lasting designs.
As written on the fabric, this got peep windows, air vent, leather details, breathable-waterproof fabrics and heat cut pockets.
